Day 4, Belize

On Thursday we anchored a few miles away from Belize. This was the only day we had a scheduled excursion through the ship, and it was probably our least favorite day. I guess what started things off a little rough was that we had to get the kids up at 6:30 to eat breakfast, get ready, and make it to our meeting place in time. Until Thursday, the kids had been in exceptionally good moods. Everywhere we went people commented on what happy, well behaved(!!) children we had. We'll just say we really didn't hear that much on Thursday. We still had a nice time, though.

We took a tender to Bannister Island, Belize. I guess I should have looked it up before we left. Apparently they had an area of the beach dedicated to the little cruisers. We didn't see that. BUT it was really TOO HOT to do anything except walk straight down to the water and fall into it.

This was the best beach for collecting sea shells. By the time we left Danielle had a big bag full.

The snorkeling wasn't great. Our problem was that we picked places where the kids could swim - that meant no reefs to see. Ron did see a couple star fish, though.

Our tired little traveler

On the way back to the ship the tender cruised around to the front of the island for a photo op

Thursday evening the kids rejoined the Kid's Crew for their evening activities. They painted their faces like pirates and went on a treasure hunt, looking for Stinky Pete's treasure. They had a great time. While they were gone, Ron and I caught a show. It was some well known (but not by me) guy who hypnotized a group of people. It was hilarious and we laughed ourselves silly.

As the evening progressed, Ron started to feel ill. Turns out our evening out was his last venture out of our cabin until we disembarked Sunday morning! More about that tomorrow...

Tomorrow: Day 5, Cozumel & Day 6, At Sea
