More Frog Hunting

Danielle has been desperate to find another treefrog since our outing with Cub Scouts last Monday. She was very unhappy that she didn't have a chance to really examine the little guy she found. We stopped by the park again this afternoon and luckily she found another one! She was so happy! And despite her pleas, I stayed strong and did NOT let her bring him home.

He is a gray treefrog, like the one she found earlier. He was content to hang onto her finger with his sticky toe pads. You can see the toe pads pretty clearly if you click on the close-up picture of the frog I cut out of the other picture. You can see Danielle's dirty fingernails pretty well, too. Take a look at the coloring on his eyes, too. The pictures might be too small to really see the detail, but it looks as if someone scribbled little black lines all over them. As far as frogs go, he's one of the more interesting ones Danielle has found.
