This Weekend's Events

Tyler attended his first school dance. It was one of those bittersweet milestones for me. He is growing up so quickly. He was very excited and nervous, and he had a great time. Like most of the kids his age, he did not go with a date but went to hang out with his friends. He did get up enough courage to ask a girl to dance with him once, and she did. I'm thankful her mother taught her to be kind. :)
It was dark and I could not get a decent picture!

Danielle's basketball team played their first basketball game. Last season Danielle's team only lost 5 games the entire season. Three of them were to the team they played yesterday, but they had a much different outcome this time. Danielle did a great job. She has improved since last year and plays with more confidence. It was a lot of fun to watch the girls play together again. Winning 32-11 made it even more fun.
Danielle is that wall the maroon girl just ran into.

A steal & a fast break. She got fouled when she went up for the shot.

She didn't make the foul shots, though.
They have to stand back a little further this year, so that will take a little more practice.

Another steal and a fast break. She made this lay-up.

Ron's parents were in town and we got to spend some time with them. We enjoyed dinner together and cheering on Ohio State. Ron's grandmother passed away in her sleep overnight, so please remember his Dad and aunts and uncle this week.
Danielle took this selfie Thanksgiving weekend.

We finished up our weekend with a trip to pick out our Christmas tree. It's in the house but it's not decorated yet, so pictures will have to wait. We'll have to squeeze in the decorating between activities this week because we have something every evening for the next 2 weeks.
