High School Ball

Our high school softball and baseball teams made it all the way to the state championship games in their divisions. We went to watch the girls play in the semifinal game on Thursday. We really enjoyed watching the older girls play. It was hard to imagine Danielle being at that level of play in just a few years. This was the first time in the history of our school that the girls made it this far! They won the game we attended and went to the championship game. The girls received a police & fire truck escort out of town on their way to the championship game, and people lined the streets to cheer them on. It was pretty cool. On the walk home Danielle said, "It will be really neat when that's me." I agree. It will be.

On Saturday morning Danielle went to the championship game with some friends. Sadly our girls lost. We all went to the boys game Saturday evening. They lost, too. We still had a good time. I've decided softball is much more fun to watch than baseball. It certainly moves faster, and the pitching is much more interesting.
