Our school carnival is this coming weekend. We volunteered to make balloon animals during part of the carnival. The kids are also planning to sell balloon animals at our garage sale the following weekend, so we've been practicing. We can easily make a dog, cat, giraffe, bunny, sword, snail, and swan. We are still working on the cool dinosaur hat Danielle is wearing and a snake, which is more than just an inflated balloon! I can also make a monkey and a parrot, but I'm not very fast at it yet, so we might have to omit those from the choice list!
Ron had to go out of town for work this week and left today. I hate it when he leaves on a weekend day! It's depressing. So we went to visit my Mom for a few hours.
"Yes, Tyler, you can climb the ladder to get the frisbee, but you can't climb on the roof."
"Ok, Mom!"

There were 4 red admiral butterflies that were enjoying the sunshine on the deck with us this afternoon. They seemed to like my mom's yellow shirt. They liked Danielle, too. She was even able to move them from her shirt onto her finger.
