Here are a variety of pictures from the past week or so. I'm sure you'll notice that the kids are in their pajamas in a good number of pictures. That's what Christmas vacation is all about, isn't it?! We had a really nice two weeks together. It was long enough that I actually lost track of the days a couple times. Everyone goes back to school and work tomorrow. It's always a little depressing to get back to reality, but there's something comfortable about getting back into a familiar routine, too.
Danielle and Papaw
Tyler got a crystal growing kit from my Aunt Barb for Christmas. There were several days between the first and last pictures. The boys plan to grow a geode next.
Tyler used his Christmas money to buy a RC truck and another Nerf gun.
My Aunt Barb also bought Tyler a bubble gum making kit. Today he made sour watermelon flavored gum. It was more difficult to mix than we expected, but the kids loved the flavor. (See the Blokus game in the background? It is a really fun family game! We also enjoyed several rounds of Apple to Apple Jr. this week.)
We had lots of Nerf wars.
Danielle sanded, painted, and glued together a bird house that was in her craft basket. This project spanned a few days. We also had a lot of fun making shrinky dinks. Thankfully they shared their paper with me so I could make some, too!
Danielle and Erika.
Danielle crafted some "clothes" for her Barbies from some pieces of felt that were in her craft basket. As you can see, she chose a peek-a-boo design.
In between completing more projects with his snap circuit set and designing new marble runs for his Chaos tower, Tyler worked on several Lego sets. He still has a couple he hasn't finished. The truck had 1154 pieces in it. The castle had 973. The convertible had 931 pieces and was the only set Tyler has needed help with in ages.
