Danielle tried out for the 10u fast pitch softball travel team a few weeks ago and found out last night that she made it. To sum it up, this means more games at a higher (hopefully) competitive level. This is definitely a step up from what she's been playing and should give her the opportunity to improve her skills. She will start practices later this winter and games will probably start in early spring. She will play at least double the amount of games she played in the recreational league, and they won't all be right around our town. She really wanted this and worked hard to earn her spot. Her coach even emailed us separately after inviting her to be a part of the team to tell her she had an awesome evaluation. We are proud of her for working so hard and are looking forward to watching a lot of softball next year!

Whoohoo! So glad she picked baseball and not basketball as her favorite. I'm not a big basketball fan. Way to go!!
Well...although she's getting close, she's not quite at the age yet where she has to narrow it down to just one sport. She just signed up for volleyball and plans to play basketball this winter. In fact, I think she'd like to try out for the travel basketball team, too. :)(I think her first love is softball, though.)
