Keeping with tradition, she opened Tyler's gift to her this morning. Apparently he did a good job at the American Girl store. She has been wanting that doll wheelchair for at least 2 years. And an interesting note here, those shorts are size 5T. She has been wearing those since at least kindergarten, maybe earlier. She currently wears a size 10/12, but her waist isn't growing! It's those loooong legs.
I surprised her with reservations at the American Girl Bistro for lunch and then a little shopping afterward. She is such good company, and we had such a nice time together. She was surprised and so thankful for everything, which made it that much more enjoyable. The restaurant was surprisingly nice, and I actually felt like the food and perks were a good value. It really couldn't have been a more perfect experience.
Tonight we went out for dinner and then returned home for birthday brownies and gifts. After opening her presents the two of us dressed her AG dolls, combed their hair, and just hung out. I enjoyed just being with her today. She is such a beautiful person, inside and out, and I am so blessed to have her for my daughter.
Yes, there's a bite missing from the corner. She HAD to sample them after we made them last night. I can totally understand that, which is why I gave in and let her have a bite! |
