The Last Day

We visited NCL's private island in the Bahamas on the last day of our cruise. The beach was ridiculously crowded, so we figured we'd only be there a couple hours. We found a good spot to sit and the kids had so much fun playing in the water, though, that we ended up staying almost the entire day.

The kids moved their beach chairs down into the water and somehow occupied themselves the entire day with those silly things! There was a little fish that seemed to be attracted to Tyler's chair and kept swimming around it. The kids had fun snorkeling around the chairs and watching the fish. Ron and I enjoyed the snorkeling, too. The coolest thing I saw was a stingray. Ron said he saw a barracuda about the size of Tyler, but he didn't have the camera with him.

Back on the ship we ate at a casual restaurant for dinner. It was another perfect day of a nearly perfect vacation.

I took this picture of the taxis at the port in Miami the next morning. I thought it was amazing how many taxis there were and how close together they all were, yet somehow they knew who was supposed to move next.

Your taxi shot looks like the lot we passed on our way to the airport in NYC.

What do you mean "nearly perfect" vacation? Sounds perfect to me--only needed a grandma and grandpa there to perfect it, I guess ;-)

Tyler threw up twice and I had a cold, that's why it was "nearly" perfect. Had it been any more perfect, I'm not sure we could have handled it, though. It was pretty great. We all still get a dreamy look on our faces when we talk about it. :)
