This and That

Ron had today off, so we headed out to the park for some fishing once the kids woke up. The kids both remembered how to sleep in (they didn't get up until 9!), but I'm going to need to retrain the dogs! I'd like to say we all had a wonderful time fishing, but a certain 7 year old decided he actually did not want to fish once we got to the park and spent a great deal of time complaining. The rest of us had a nice time. The kids brought their butterfly nets and chased around some dragonflies and butterflies.

Here's an action shot of Danielle trying out her butterfly net earlier this week. Although she looks impressive, she didn't catch anything.

This is Tyler's class at field day earlier this week. They are all wearing blue shirts because that was their team's color.

Ron has been building a poker table for the nights he hosts the neighborhood tournaments. He finished it today. He has worked really hard on it, and it looks really nice. And yes, he purchased all his supplies with his previous winnings, although the other guys in the neighborhood say he's not that good, just lucky. We're going to break it in tomorrow with a high-stakes game of Uno. :)

Here is a recent picture of Clara. She is now 4 months old (16 weeks), and she's huge! Hunter usually spends a good portion of the day sleeping in her crate. Typically Clara leaves her alone while she's in there, but Clara is scared of the vacuum and ran in there to hide when I was cleaning yesterday. She must have fallen asleep while I was vacuuming upstairs.
