Late Bloomer

It's supposed to snow this coming weekend. Ron mowed once more today and I pulled up the rest of the flowers from the beds around the patio. Except for this guy. He's almost ready to bloom. I just couldn't bring myself to cut him down. I planted some new cardinal flowers this summer and it took them all summer to do anything. This is the only one that got anywhere close to blooming, so I have to give him a chance. Come on little guy, you can do it! (Just do it quicker!)
