For the Birds

While all the other "yard" birds seem to look more drab in the winter, the cardinals always seem to look brilliant, especially against the white snow. Maybe this is why my grandma liked them so much. (The cardinal pictures were taken through a window.)

She's not as stunning as the Mr., but even Mrs. Cardinal stands out.

This is a horrible picture, but here are two short eared owls that were jostling each other. I hope I get another chance to try for a better picture of these owls before they head back north. Something where you can actually make out the facial features would be nice! :)
