Summer, Week 1

And just like that, the first full week of summer break is in the books. It doesn't feel like we did much.

Monday was Memorial Day. We enjoyed watching Tyler march in the parade and the ceremony at the cemetery.

Tyler started his driver's training classes. He won't do his in-car driving until July & August. This was the best time for us to fit in his classroom training. His last day is tomorrow.

Danielle got to spend a little time with friends. She spent the night with a friend from her old softball team, went swimming with a friend from volleyball, and got to hang out with her BFFs from the neighborhood.

14 butterflies eclosed. I kept them until one of them laid eggs and then released them all. A couple of them have been hanging around the past two days, dancing around the flowers on the patio.

We went to the park. I went by myself a couple times while Tyler was in class, and we all went the other evening.

Danielle sandwiched the week with softball tournaments. The four of us went out to help her get a little practice in during the week, too. (That's what the fox video was from.)

Week 2 looks like it will be similar. I love summer.
