The sunset tonight was beautiful. We were on our way to meet my brother and parents for dinner to celebrate my brother's birthday, so I didn't have my camera (or the time to stop), but Tyler snapped a couple cell phone pictures as we drove. The picture doesn't do it justice.

And in case you're wondering, Candy Cane has decided to sit in the nativity set and hold baby Jesus. He must be really comfy because he's decided to stay there for a couple days.

Stolen Moments

I love Auntie Ann's, but not because the cinnamon sugar pretzel bites are amazing. I love the stolen moments Auntie Ann's gives me with the kids. When I take one of the kids to Auntie Ann's at the mall, we each get an order of pretzel bites and a drink to share, and then find some place to sit and eat. The ipods and phones are put away, and suddenly the kids have a lot to say. They talk and I listen and we laugh and I find myself thinking that the $9 2 pretzel/drink combo is the best investment ever.

I was lucky enough to enjoy one of those stolen moments with Danielle this afternoon.

Another Perspective

The temperature got up to 66 degrees yesterday. We went to the park in the hopes of getting a picture of the kids that I could use in our Christmas cards. We were out in short sleeves in mid December, and it was wonderful! After a couple pictures, the kids wanted to walk around and take their own pictures. Both kids are creative in their own ways, but I love it when the photography bug bites them. Here are a few of their pictures. Danielle is the queen of selfies.

He's Back!

Our elf Candy Cane came back last night. Better late than never, I suppose.

This & That

Danielle has played several basketball games already. Their team is pretty good. They lost their first game yesterday but it was only by 6 points. I think it frustrates Danielle that she is usually the shortest person on the court, but she is a great defender.

Tyler went to the school dance Friday night. The theme was black and white, and he decided to be casual and comfortable. He had a good time. We were in a hurry when we left and he wouldn't cooperate for a picture. This was all he'd give me. :)

Our laser Christmas lights look really cool in the fog.

The temperature has been all over the place lately. It's been in the teens and back up to the 60s. We had a couple mornings of fog that froze. Unfortunately I didn't get up early enough to go anywhere except our back yard.
